Hong Kong:Hundred years ago, Hong Kong was a fishing village. Now, Hong Kong has become an international city. Yet, Hong Kong faces a multitude of challenges in sustainable development and when we compare Hong Kong to other developed regions, Hong Kong’s sustainable development is truly lagging behind. So, to deal with the challenges and promote sustainable development, Hong Kong has been acting in different roles in sustainable development.
Project:The main purpose of our project is to introduce Hong Kong’s policies regarding the role of Hong Kong. What efforts have Hong Kong made in sustainable development and the effectiveness of these policies. For example, Hong Kong did a lot in promotion and education to foster sustainable development. Besides, we will include the challenges and problems that the government are facing nowadays in accelerating the sustainable development.
For instance, air pollution, marine pollution and light pollution have been an obstacle in promoting sustainable development in Hong Kong. Our project will also list out some possible directions of sustainable development in Hong Kong. Finally, we will talk about how the new generation of Hong Kong can continue the sustainable development today to their future and what benefits and drawbacks will us gain if we do something or nothing in sustainable development.
